After 20 years of applying, blending, and customizing human hair extensions, Glo Extensions founder Heather Occhionero had seen it all—and worn it all. From backstage at beauty pageants to behind the chair in her salon, she had helped thousands of women achieve their dream hair, including models, brides, news anchors, and style-obsessed professionals. More and more clients were loving the convenience of clip-in extensions—but the quality just wasn’t there.

Even with the reputable brands, tangling, shedding, and scraggly ends seemed hard to avoid. Heather knew what she wanted for her clients, but she just couldn't find it. So, she created it.

We quietly launched our clip in extension line in 2024. We put the hair through a full-day photo shoot: hot tools, multiple style changes, humidity, hairspray, bright lights, and wardrobe swaps.

To install your clip in extension panels, you'll need a few tools:

• sectioning comb
• hair clips
• hair brush
• mirror with a separate hand mirror
• curling iron or flat iron for styling (optional) but no hotter than 320-360 degrees

Lay out your hair pieces and open up each clip by holding the edges and popping the middle up. Practice opening and closing a few times to get the hang of it. The wider panels are for the middle of your head, temple to temple.  The smaller panels are for the top and sides of your head. For fine hair, the golden rule is to stay below the natural curvature of your head.

Brush your hair to remove any tangles. Work in sections, lightly teasing the root of each section to help the clips attach.
