Weft Extensions at Glo Salon in Denver
Human Hair Weft Extensions
Women everywhere are buzzing about weft extensions because they are so natural looking AND so versatile. Because weft extensions are customized to your hair type and texture, we can add length and fullness where you need it without weighing you down.
Weft extensions are a great option for medium to long hair length and for hair that is of average to thicker densities. Wefts are available in either hand tied and machine finished, in both single and double density, which allow us to customize the application to your hair type and texture. Varied widths of band size are available too, which lets us fine tune the application around the hairline and nape of neck.
- Hand tied wefts for areas around the hairline
- Machine finished wefts for areas where more density is needed
- Hidden row application - an advanced sew in technique to make your bonds invisible
Our Hidden Row Application vs a Natural Beaded Row Method
For weft extensions, we use an advanced hidden row application. This is somewhat similar to the natural beaded row method but we take it a step further. Wefts of hair are hand sewn onto a track of beads using a needle and nylon thread. However, our application sandwiches the bead in between two wefts which makes the bead itself impossible to detect. For those who like to pull their hair extensions up, concealing the tracks of beads is so important.
Brands of Weft Extensions
We use a few different brands of weft extensions, all made of top quality 100% Remy human hair, so we have an amazing selection of shades and lengths.
- Coco Marie
- Halo Couture
- Another leading brand is rumored to be launching their weft extensions in Fall 2022
Machine Finished Wefts or Hand Tied Wefts?
Don't worry, you don't have to make a choice. One is not better than the other. They are two different options that we use to customize the application to your head of hair. We may opt for the extra density offered by the machine finished wefts when it comes to filling in your volume on the back and sides of your head. The extra density also means that we need fewer wefts. However, we may rely on the more delicate hand tied wefts to build natural looking fullness around the hairline.
Hair Color for Weft Extensions
When it comes to hair color for weft extensions, we use several different brands that we trust so that we can find the color you want in the length you need. We can get weft extensions in a huge spectrum of pre-colored shades, whether you want natural shades, shades for adding highlights, platinum shades, balayage tones with hair that gets lighter towards the ends, as well as rooted shades with a darker tones concentrated at the roots. And because these weft extensions are made of 100% human hair, they can be further colored in the salon. We would order your hair in the color closest to the shade you need and modify it from there.
